Rainham Marshes, once a military firing range, has been transformed from derelict nature site to blossoming marshland since its acquisition in 2000. Since then, visitors can spend their days bird spotting; watching wading birds throughout the summer months before the wild ducks come to stay in the wintertime – birds of prey are also frequent visitors! The site also has an information and visitor centre where visitors can find out for about the Marshes and even have a cuppa in the café and shop.
